3D - Reconstruction and serial section alignment
There are many structures that can only be understood when they are studied in 3D. These two tools provide a cost effective solution for the reconstruction of datasets. FiRender is a general purpose tool with extensive features. It can be used for serial section, confocal or fluorescence type datasets for microscopy and will also render other data such as MRI or CT. FiAlign is a manual/semi automatic application for the rapid alignment of serial section data.
Why Use FiRender and FiAlign?
-
Both applications have been designed to be as easy to use as possible for the non technical user
- FiAlign allows a serial section dataset to be aligned rapidly and interactively
- 3D reconstrucions can rapidly be produced both as images and animations
