Pathtool

Metrics describing organisation and structure in histopathological sections often rely on evaluations performed by pathologists. Among non specialised pathologists, the inter observer variation can be significant, in for example Gleason scoring. Pathtool is an objective tool that can support pathologists in their work. The aim of Pathtool is to create a computer system for automatic classification of cells and tissue in routine pathological paraffin embedded sections. Automatic classification will include identification of area of interest (tumour area in most cases) and classifying the sample according to a given criteria.
